SDS operates in 11 states of India which includes all Northeast India states, Bihar, Odisha and Karnataka  serving the needs of Central & State government, Doner, CSR agency, not-for-profits, FPOs, individual entrepreneurs and other development organisations in five major service areas-

Parag Boruah
MD
Mr. Parag Boruah is the Managing Director of SDS-India and co-Promoter of SeSTA. He has been in the development sector for almost two decades now. An Environmental Scientist from Gauhati University, Assam, Parag Boruah chose to work with rural/tribal communities on grassroots' issues specially on rural livelihoods. He has worked with PRADAN and IIFM-Bhopal for couple of years and then moved to Assam in 2011, to contribute to the rural communities in the North-East region. Mr. Boruah has been supporting and collaborating with various grassroots organisations and peoples' institutions in developing their human resources, technology, systems, proceses, community interventions and streamlining the transformation of life of rural poor.




Saumit Kumar Das
AD
Saumit had developed a command over strengthening existing extension system through video-based approach. As a skilled professional with more than 5 years of experience leading video projects from start to finish, he positioned to make a significant socio-economic impact by producing community led videos. He has intensive experience in documenting various aspects of the society for better communication with the different stakeholders. He spearheads high-style, high-quality video production projects throughout all life cycle phases, applying expertise in shooting, lighting, multi-camera usage, framing, editing, directing, and post-production to meet organization goals and budget requirements. Saumit have had strong will to work in an organization who is intensively working towards development of deprived society which fascinate him to pursue Rural Development from KSRM. He Spent his sophomore year of college in working as intern with various development organization i.e. M. S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF), National Farmer Fishery Cooperative Society (NFFCS), Development Alternative (DA), which develop a deep cognizance on how development sector organization' function.








Barnali Das
HR Admin
Barnali is masters in English Literature, specialized in phonetics in English language from Cotton University, Assam. She has an experience of 5years in education, counselling, co-ordination, Human Resources, Documentation and team leading. She has been a part of SDS, since December 2021 as HR Admin and is posted in Head Office. She also os in charge of all the co ordination and documentation of the FPOs.












Arjun Kumar Debnath
Project Executive
Arjun has done B.sc Pure Science from Tripura University. He worked under various Organization and with over 6 years of experience in agriculture and allied sectors. Worked in NERLP project under ministry of DoNER and worked as a CEO under Dharmanagar agro organic farmer producer company Ltd. Tripura. Now, working as a project executive in Assam under SDS. His interest areas are working with farmer's group, FIG, FPO, sustainable livelihood generations of farmer's.









Dr. Sunil Garg
Director
Sunil has more than 9 years of work experience in enterprise promotion. He is a veterinarian who also holds rural management degree (from XIMB & HAU respectively). During his career spanning over last more than 8 years, he has extended his services across states of MP, Jharkhand, Odisha, Haryana, Assam, Nagaland. He has worked with the tribal population of Central & North Eastern region consisting of: Gond, Khairwar, Bheel, Bhelala, Sahariya, Kondh, Hmar, Mizo. He has promoted 2 primary producer’s FPO & Cooperative in MP. With the enterprise development experience in Agriculture & animal husbandry sector, he has linked the community with the market in semi-formal to formal format with the forward& backward linkages. Sunil is also a Sitaram Livelihood Case Study Competition winner of 2011.
Dr. Bhaskar Kumar Kakati
Consultant
Bhaskar Kumar Kakati has obtained PhD in Social Sciences from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). Besides he has also cleared UGC-NET in women studies. He is also the recipient of merit certificate for being among the top 0.1% of successful candidates of All India Senior School Certificate Examination 2002 in History. Dr Kakati has more than ten years of work experiences in research and evaluation, monitoring, project implementation and management. He worked for various organisations and institutes including Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong, PRADAN, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, NIRD &PR, ASRLM. He is also an accredited master trainer of financial literacy accredited by National Academy of RUDSETI, Bengaluru. Furthermore, he has undertaken various short term capacity building programmes on basic livelihoods, institutions building, entrepreneurship development sponsored by NERLP, IIM Shillong, SDS. Dr Kakati has contributed more than 15 research papers published by various reputed publishing house including Tylor and Francis, SAGE etc. He is also the author of one book and two book chapters. Moreover, he is also the co-project director of an ICSSR Research Project on Rural employment and migration. Dr Kakati also attended four research methodology workshops organised by ICSSR (NERC), Shillong, OKDISCD, Guwahati, Manipur University, Imphal, Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi. He has also attended and presented paper in ten seminars organised by various institutions, universities.
Gitashree Barman
Consultant
Gitashree is organized and utter articulate Research Professional, graduated with a degree in Economics (B.Sc.) from Cotton College, Guwahati with a specialization in Applied Economics (M.A) from Pondicherry Central University. She is also an Mphil-PhD scholar in Development Studies from TISS, Mumbai. She holds a work experience of around a year in SPI Global Pvt. Ltd, Chennai as a SME in Chegg, Department of Economics. Also has years of experiences in Research skills and project management. She has been a part of SDS as a Consultant since February, 2022. She has depth understanding on research methods and test parameters, analyzing data, writing reports, and maintaining tool and database. She is closely working with our research team to ensure smooth and efficient implementation of the priorities and initiatives under various research projects.

Marketing Expert
With engineering and management experience reflecting a host of capabilities, Manash has contributed to different industries in the past. Manash is an alumnus of IIM Amritsar and a Mechanical Engineer from Gauhati University. Over the course of his career, Manash has extended his services in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh and honed his skills and knowledge in B2C and B2B marketing, Business Development, Project Management, Networking and Problem Solving Skills. He has an experience of leading and handling a team of over 30 members of sales executives in the past. Manash has been associated with SDS since June 2022 as Marketing Expert and is posted in HO, Guwahati, He is responsible for all the market linkages and businesses of the FPOs promoted by SDS.

Sagarika Tripura has experience of more than 3-4 years in the Organization. She Associated with SDS(Sesta Development Services) since 1st September 2018 in different livelihood project , She worked in NERLP Project as SMS(Subject Matter Specialist) . She also worked in TRLM Project as SMS, She has the good experience to perform different roles & responsibilities assigned & hence easing the work of the organization. She has intensive experience in designing technical protocol for the project & designing IEC material in consultation with technical agencies & progressive farmers. She has a good technical knowledge, great communication & problem solving skills thereby providing regular technical support to the farmers. She is also involved in building capacity of the cluster coordinators & livelihood coordinators & community resource persons & worked in SFAC Project in capacity & institutions building. Being a part of diversified projects she has the vast knowledge, skills, ideas of handling different projects. She has conducted different training programs for FIG members, BOD & FPC staff for capacity building. She also provided different technical training in multiple aspects like organic fertilizer preparation, disease management in crops. Sagarika has good time management skills & is punctual towards the work assigned to her ,thereby ensuring timely arrangement of inputs & implementation of technical protocol with Agri-allied sector.

Worked in NERLP Fishry Project and Worked Under Department of Agriculture and Farmer's Welfare,Govt. Of Tripura In ATMA Project.Worked in TRLM Fishery Project ,Now Working in Central Sector scheme-Formation and Protion of 10000 FPO Scheme, Working on Marketing Sector of FPOs, As a Project Executive in Tripura,Under SDS.His interest areas are Working with Farmer's Group,FIG,FPO,Sustainable Livelihood Generations of Farmer's.

Mr. Biswanath Chakraborty has experience more than 8years in FIG formation, FPO incorporation & Marketing. He worked for various organizations including VIUC scheme & MOVCDNER, Tripura for formation and promotion of FPO. He has hold b.com degree from Tripura University. Mr. Biswanath recently associated with SDS as Executive, he look after output marketing of 9 no. FPCs under central sector scheme 10,000 FPO formation and promotion.

Sanjyot is a social work graduate,with a specialization in livelihood and social entrepreneurship from TISS, Mumbai, and holds a work experience of around 2 years in the private as well as the public sector. She has joined SDS India since Feb, 2022 as a Consultant, and is currently based out of Bangalore, working on the Developmental Evaluation (M&E) assignment of the 'Renewable Energy and Livelihood' program of SELCO Foundation, funded by IKEA Foundation.

Balram is a management graduate from CIMP With an overall experience of working for government clients for 9 years which includes an experience of working as a knowledge partner and doing community owned enterprise development assignment for more than six years. Experience of Project Implementation and managing a variety of international and bilateral development initiatives. Team player with experience of managing and expanding programmes in the areas of livelihoods, climate change, risk reduction, health, financial inclusion, and skill & enterprise development for development organisations and institutions. Strengths of working for large scale projects of government and international donor including BRLPS, NRLM, Global Environment Facility-Sustainable Livelihoods & Adaptation to Climate Change project (GEF-SLACC) SAGY, Skill India, SBM, MGNREGA, Transformation of Aspirational District program etc. which includes Diagnosis study, proposal development, project appraisal, project implementation and monitoring under PMU for rural livelihood development projects financed by govt. and international donors like The World Bank. An effective communicator & negotiator with strong Analytics, problem solving, decision making and organizational ability. Dr. Anjan Barman
Senior Consultant (Poultry Technical Expert)
Dr. Anjan has been associated with SDS since Sept., 2021 as Senior Consultant in Bihar Kosi Basin Development Project (A project of Animal & Fisheries Resources Dept., Govt. of Bihar & funded by World Bank) with the purpose of "Formation, facilitation & management of poultry value chain in Koshi region of Bihar". He began his career in 2013 at NSPDT (National Smallholder Poultry Development Trust, Bhopal). He worked there for 8 years in various cooperative societies & producer companies in MP, Assam & Jharkhand as Executive (Trainee), Production Manager & CEO/Manager that were promoted by NSPDT for economic upliftment of rural tribal women through poultry enterprise. In 2019 he got the opportunity to attend "XXIst World Veterinary Poultry Association Congress" (WVPAC) in Bangkok, Thailand. He completed BVSc & AH in 2013 from College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara, Guwahati (Assam).
