About the Project

SDS has been implementing a Broiler Poultry project with The World Bank funded BKBDP (Bihar Kosi Basin Development Program) in 5 districts of Kosi region of Bihar (Saharsa, Supaul, Araria, Purnia, Madhepura) since 2021. SDS has promoted 5 FPCs in the said districts & has been able to achieve a wonderful feat of turning around the capital 15 times in a financial year. There is a wonderful team working at the FPC which has been able to achieve the feat.

Job Description

• Providing technical guidance and assistance to the livestock sector

• Training producers farmers on Commercial Rearing practices & good Husbandry Practices

• Monitoring production improvements in the sheds

• Building the capacity of field teams in livestock health and management

• Observing and evaluating the behavior and health of livestock

• Advising & Administering prescribed treatment to livestock

• Maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating livestock equipment

• Organizing, planning, and prioritizing activities for livestock areas

• Assisting with the policy and planning work of livestock health related issues for the Project

• Coordination between various stakeholders (BKBDP, Dept, DAHOs, FPCs)

• FPO business development & coordination

• Arrange follow up of the trainings conducted

• Document the best practices & activities of the project

• Timely submission of reports

• Convergence with various state & central schemes

• New business opportunity exploration & development

• Extension handhold support to the FPO team

Qualification: BVSc&AH (MVSc or BVSc&AH with management background shall be preferred)

Work Ex: 5 years min. Local work experience shall be preferred.

​

Compensation: upto 10 LPA (commensurate with the qualification & Experience)
