Indian dairy is one of the largest dairy sectors in the world with more than 30% of the total milk animals and 23% of the total milk produced in the world. Indian dairy industry is characterized by decentralized, small producer’s based system & loose milk constitute more than 50% of the total packed milk sold. The dairy industry has grown by leaps & bounds in the last 2 decades particularly & there has been induction of more organized players in dairy in the last decade than since independence.
SDS has been facilitating the small holder dairy producers to co-own the enterprises they are part of. We also design the systems to broad base the small holders & Make them commercially efficient to have a say in the market economy.
