About the Project:
Tripura Rural Economic Growth and Service Development Project (TRESP) is a WB funded project of Tribal Welfare Department under Govt. of Tripura. The project is being implemented in 23 TTADC blocks of Tripura under 8 districts. You can visit the website of TWD for details of this project.


The SDS is the Technical Service Agency (TSA) for Institutional Building & Capacity Building (IBCB) part of the project. It will support the TRLM who is the project implementation unit (PIU)

Job Description

The position will be a member of State team of SDS who will be based in Agartala.

 The Insurance Expert will work to ensure buying of insurance policies for crops & livestock insurances by the beneficiaries of Tripura Rural Economic Growth & Service Delivery Project (TRESP). Additionally, s/he will also be responsible for setting up of systems and capacity building of TRLM field staff & community cadres on the schemes & operational processes of crops & livestock insurances.


  • Technical Role: You need to aware the concerned community cadres & TRLM field staff regarding every detail of PMFBY and livestock Insurance under National Livestock Mission by imparting trainings

  • System Setting Role: You have to set up an appropriate system so that all activities like selling insurance policies, preparation of required policy supporting documents, incentives system, on time settling of claims etc. are undertaken in timely and comprehensive manner.  

  • Motivational Role: Concerned community cadres & TRLM Field staff must be motivated for selling insurance policies for livestock & crops to the TRESP beneficiaries, therefore, you have to work to motivate the farmers for insurance schemes.

  •  Any other roles assigned by his/her line of authority.


Qualifications: MBA/ MA in Sociology or MA/MSc in any stream

Other requirements: Knowledge on PMFBY, Livestock & Fishery Insurance


Mandatory Experiences: Minimum 5 years experiences at Executive level in any insurance company (private/public). Candidates having experiences in livestock & crop insurance will be preferred

Compensation: Salary Ranging from Rs. 6.0 – 7.2 lakhs per annum
