Assisting client in formation and promotion of community owned organizations of smallholder farmers/ marginalized communities/ Self Help Group (SHG) women is major focus area of SDS to build sustainable community organizations at Grassroots. SDS has been assisting different government and non-government organization to formation and promotion of Cluster Level Federation (CLF), Farmer Producer Organization (FPO)etc. SDS support in following major aspects –

 

Organization Assessment

Organization Assessment helps to understand the current status of the organization and identify the area for further improvement. SDS has customized solutions for make assessment of community own organization.

Community Institution Development

Community institution are the route to bring sustainable changes in the life of smallholder farmers or marginalized communities. SDS provides end to end support to form and nurture community institution development.

Capacity Building

SDS provides capacity building support to different organizations to strengthen their organization through capacity building of the board of directors of the organization, build capabilities of the leadership group and executive, design and support in conducting general body meeting of the organization.

 

Impact Story:

**SHG Cluster Level Federation Formation and Nurturing:**SDS supported Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) in formation and nurturing of the federate body of Self Help Group (SHG) called Cluster Level Federation (CLF) in four resource block of Manipur State. The major support was in vision building for CLF, capacity building of the Board of directors, registration of the CLF in appropriate Acts, Business Plan preparation, HR and financial system setting and support in implementation of the business plan.

Formation and Promotion of Farmer Producer Organization (FPO):

SDS has been working as Cluster base business organization for Smallholder Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC), New Delhi, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare and NAFED for formation and promotion of Framer Producer Organization (FPO) in different state.
