About the Organization
SDS is a Guwahati based firm which is extending high impact professional consulting services to the clients like: GoI (Government of India), State Govt., Social Sector Organizations (NGOs), CSR & other agencies, Multilateral Agencies (like the World Bank, ADB) requiring of such services in implementation of their project at different stages. SDS has been promoting Small Holder’s Livestock enterprise with Piggery, Poultry, Small Ruminants (like: Sheep Goat), building their business by linking them to the market & forging en to end market linkages.
SDS plans to induct 3-5 vets into Poultry & Piggery sector specifically in NE India.

SDS has been partnering with a Poultry FPC named: CWPCL (Chhimphei Women Poultry Producer Co.Ltd), which is having membership of more than 300 women, to manage various aspects of Enterprise & Production. CWPCL is Mizoram’s first All Women Poultry FPC, having state of the art Pneumatic, Air Pressure based hatchery. The FPO has been promoted under a World Bank funded Program & current being supported by the state rural livelihood mission.
Job Description

Extending Technical & management support to the Broiler Poultry rearers in Aizawl district

Revival & running of the hatchery

Collective/ FPC Management

Understanding the local issues & offer easily implementable, unique solutions

Management of the Cadre (CRPs) at the grass root level

Training management of the Farmers & cadre

Business understanding, Planning & execution

Community mobilization & capacity building

Field level cadre training & capacity building

Coordination between various stakeholders

Document the best practices & activities of the project

Timely submission of reports
Qualification: BVSc & AH
Work Ex: Candidates with work ex. in Poultry sector shall be preferred.
Skills: Clinical & non-clinical skills, Documentation & communication skills, Negotiation, Goal orientation, Self motivation, ability to work unsupervised, Training skills, Training management, Team Management, Knowing Mizo & Assamese language would be a plus.
Compensation: 40,000 Rs. Per Month
